As a kid, my after-school hours and long summer holidays were often spent wandering around looking for something to do, causing mischief or bothering my mom to the tune of ‘I’m bored.’ It’s not that I didn’t have things to keep me entertained; it’s more (looking back) that I wanted someone to entertain me.
So if I could re-write my schooldays, I’d include Cremorne Riverside in the script, possibly even as the star of the show (although I’d keep it located in South Africa!).
With school-time drop-in sessions twice a week and all day Sunday, and school holiday programmes running throughout the summer every weekday, Cremorne Riverside provides entertainment, learning and adventures for young people. For anyone between 9 and 19 years of age, regardless of which borough you live in, I recommend dropping by.
Visit Cremorne Riverside on Facebook or check out our new page on this blog – ‘Young people’.
